Pleasant Bay has many attractions to offer travelers, whale watching with guaranteed whales sightings right through the season, we have pilot whales, finwhales, humpbacks, minkes and dolphins in our waters. After a close encounter with a whale in it's natural environment, you we be intrigued to find out more about our water friends at the Whale Interpretive Centre.

In the Highlands National park there are over 25 world class hiking trails taking in majestic waterfalls, protected forests and abundant wildlife. Moose and bald eagles are regularly seen, although keep your eyes out for coyotes, bear and lynx. One of the most popular hikes the Skyline is 15km from Pleasant Bay which has outstanding panoramic views. Two short walking trails just as you enter the park after leaving Pleasant Bay are McIntosh Brook and the Lone Sheiling. The Lone Sheiling takes you through a 300 year old Maple Grove to a reconstructed Crofters hut. Enjoy strolling our landscaped grounds which lead down to the beach, summer sunsets from our deck and fine candlelight dinning at our restaurant.
